Some features however will not work on iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G. iOS 4 is available as of today for developers only and it will be available publicly via new iTunes on June 21st.

Since the iPhone 4 is running the iOS 4 (formerly iPhone OS 4), therefore all the apps available on the iTunes App Store will run without any problem. But since the screen resolution is far more than any of the previous iPhones, therefore the present apps will look even more visually stunning!
New Apple apps that will be available for iOS 4:
* iBooks
* iMovie
* Keynote (unconfirmed)
Models and Pricing
The iPhone 4 will come in two models, the 16GB one which will sell for $199 and the 32 GB one which will sell for $299, both will be available in full white and black.
Apart from this, price of iPhone 3GS has been reduced to just $99 for the 8GB model. iPhone 3G has been discontinued.

Availability
You can pre-order your iPhone 4 on June 15th and you will get in stores across the United States on June 24th. It will be available through AT&T, and if you’re an existing AT&T user with an iPhone and your contract is expiring this year, then AT&T will have an upgrade plan for you on iPhone 4!
International Availability
This is really great news! On launch, the iPhone 4 will not just be available in the United States only, it will also be available in France, Germany, United Kingdom and Japan. And later in July, Apple will push it to 18 more countries. We’ll keep you updated when or if the iPhone 4 is available in more countries.
Accessories – “Bumpers” for iPhone 4
Apple has announced a range of cases for the new phone called as the “Bumpers”. They look pretty, vibrant and stylish, and will be available around the same time as iPhone 4.

New White iPhone 4G
We did inform you about leaked white front panel of the next-gen iPhone which suggested that Apple might be offering the 4th-gen iPhone in both white and black color models full around to the front panel. And now, some stunning renderings of iPhone 4G / HD in full white color has surfaced to give us an idea on how the real thing in this color variant may look like.

There is no hiding to the fact that most people have love-hate relationship with the all-flat design on the new iPhone compared to the rounded-cornered design of iPhone 3G/3GS. But after seeing these renderers, I can almost guarantee you all loving this new design!
We do not know whether these conceptual images (based on the lost iPhone 4G) will represent the next iPhone in future or not, but in any case, they look pretty darn good as can be seen in the images below.

iPad Finally Gets a Native Facebook App, Unofficially
If you have been using an iPad, you would know that currently there’s no proper Facebook app available for the iPad yet. The one which is available in the App Store is for the iPhone and the iPod touch. Yes you can run it on the iPad as well but only in native iPhone’s resolution, or in the pixilated x2 size mode. Seeing this, Sobees has come up with a useful Facebook client app for iPad which in all fairness does the job well.
“sobees for Facebook is the one Facebook application for the iPad you’ve been looking for!
With its gorgeous, cutting-edge design, this feature-rich app brings your Facebook community to a new level. Get a look at your friend’s activities (did they update their status, share photos or videos?) organized in a neat, newspaper-like home page. With sobees for Facebook your can also browse your friends, view their profile, see all the pictures that have been added recently in a great way and manage all your events and birthdays in a calendar view!”
Sobees Facebook for iPad
With Sobees for Facebook, you can do all the common tasks which one would expect a Facebook client to do. The key features of the app are as follows.
* View status updates, links, pictures, wall posts and videos from friends.
* Look at all of your friends’ pictures on one page (like a real “face book”).
* View your friends’ profiles and walls.
* Manage events and birthdays with an optimized calendar.
* Update your own status and post comments or likes to the statuses of others.
* View recent photo albums from your friends and family members.
Since there is no other dedicated Facebook app for the iPad yet, and we can’t say for sure when will the developers over at Facebook will come up with one, you can give this one a go! It is functional, and is totally free for this month.
New iPhone to have HD video recording?
The newly released iPhone OS 4 Beta 3 reveals ability to capture video at 1280×720 HD resolution instead of the standard 640×480 VGA res. which most phones of this era can capture video on. The following preset values found in some of the new API improvements in OS 4 suggests that the next iPhone might do HD video recording.

We have already heard or read a number of times in the past that a 5MP camera with LED flash, along with a front-facing cam for video conferencing (via iChat) will be one of the many highlights of the next iPhone. This, along with the rumored high-res 940×640 resolution screen will also fit the long rumored name dubbed “iPhone HD” for the next iPhone.

New iPhone to have 5 Megapixel Camera
According to a report by The Chosum libo, the next Apple iPhone 4G / HD will feature a 5-megapixels camera from LG Innotek with LED flash. We have already heard similar rumors a number of times in the past that a 5MP camera with LED flash, along with a front-facing cam for video conferencing (via iChat) will be one of the many highlights of the next iPhone.
The recently lost iPhone 4G, which was reviewed and ripped apart by Gizmodo also had a a front-facing camera, and LED flashlight on the back.
While a 5MP camera will be an upgrade for iPhone users (iPhone 3G and 3GS had 2MP and 3MP respectively), it still wont be good enough enough to compete the likes of some of the upcoming phones like HTC EVO 4G and Dell Thunder, both of which will sport a 8MP camera.
